Hykeham Consulting Ltd was formed in 2012 in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, by Mark Andrews, following many years working in the private sector for consultants such as WSP and Opus. 

What we do.

Hykeham Consulting have undertaken a wide variety of projects, including providing seconded engineer services to Local Highway Authorities.

Mark has been undertaking Road Safety Audits for over 12 years, including works in Australia and New Zealand. This is a service that has continued into Hykeham Consulting and has seen us working across the Republic Of Ireland and the UK.

Our traffic signal design and analysis experience exends across Ireland and the UK, with access to the very latest junction modelling software.

We have provided transport planning services for a large number of developments ranging from 10 houses to 210 houses with an associated school, and developments such as a new medical practice for the NHS.

Our Travel Plans have been incorporated into the heart of the transport planning services we provide.

Why we do it

Mark’s career in the traffic engineering industry started at Lincolnshire County Council where he had the chance to work in many of the Highways Department’s sections including Road Safety and Traffic Signals.This diversity of skills has continued throughout Mark’s career and forms the back bone of the way Hykeham Consultancy works.

We pride ourselves on our associates and contacts, and the depth of experience they can bring to each and every project we undertake. In order to maintain the skills required Mark is undertaking an MSc in Transport Planning and Engineering through Edinburgh Napier University, and is actively developing his skill set in Road Safety Audits by achieving a HE Certificate of Competancy early in 2020. We are registered with TTI as a Road Safety Audit Team Leader with a breadth of experience available to provide a full Audit team on all roads within Ireland
